    PrintGreyhound Help

In order to book Greyhound bus tickets, you have to be an ARC Ticket Reporting Agency (TRA) that has the capability to print an MCO document.

    Airline Code
The Airline Code for completing MCOs for Greyhound sales is 889. When a 2-digit code is required for an automated MCO, use X6.

    Baggage (See Greyhound.com)

    Blackout Dates (See Greyhound.com)
Please pay close attention to details on the Greyhound Ticket Center website regarding blackout dates.

    Charters
You may book charters through ARC MarketPlace and earn commission. For pricing and details contact ARC MarketPlace.

    Commission
All ARC-accredited travel agents can sell Greyhound tickets and earn commission. The sale must be processed on an automated MCO in a GDS and reported to ARC in your agency's IAR sales report.

    Companion Fares
You may book Companion Fares if they are offered for an itinerary on the Greyhound Ticket Center website. You will need to issue two MCOs: one will be for the full fare and the second will show a fare of zero. The two MCOs must say "Companion Fare Ticket" and cross reference each other. Both people must redeem their MCOs at the same time for actual hard tickets at a Greyhound terminal and are required to travel together. Companion Fare tickets can be refunded only if neither of the tickets has been used at all.

    Delivery
If you are prompted by the Greyhound website to choose a Delivery Option, you must pick one to get final pricing. Choose "Will Call". However, the Will Call Fee does not apply to your client's purchase price.

    Exchanges (See Greyhound.com)

    Fare Types
Use the applicable fare type for your client as defined by Greyhound (Student, Adult, Child, Companion, Military, etc.)

    Fees
Ticket by Mail Fee - This fee does not apply to sales processed on an MCO.
Will Call Fee - This fee does not apply to sales processed on an MCO.

Greyhound Passenger Fare Tariff and Sales Manual (See Greyhound.com)
General Rules and Regulations, primary market areas, blackout dates, and more.

    Lost or Stolen Tickets
Greyhound and ARC MarketPlace are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.

    MCO Instructions

    1. Get pricing and schedule information from Greyhound.com.
    2. Complete one automated MCO per passenger using your GDS.

Click here for guidelines to complete MCOs for Greyhound tickets. Your client must redeem the MCO Exchange Coupon for a hard Greyhound ticket prior to boarding.

    Pricing

    1. Follow the steps on Greyhound.com's Ticket Center to calculate your client's fare.
    2. To get the final price including any applicable taxes, you must click "Purchase" on Greyhound's website. You will be given the final pricing (scroll down to the bottom right-hand side of the page). Do not enter any payment of passenger information.
Note: The only pricing information that applies to ARC MarketPlace MCOs is the fare/subtotal and any applicable taxes. All other additional charges such as the Will Call Fee and any Ticket by Mail Fee do not apply.
    3. Advise your client(s) that if they have requested travel for Monday-Thursday, but they do not go to a Greyhound terminal to redeem their MCO(s) for Greyhound ticket(s) until Friday-Sunday, they will be charged a surcharge.
